About Private Lessons
Private lessons are a way to learn to safely practice yoga at home with the support of common objects like a wall and a chair, and various yoga props. The individualized attention of a private lesson will deepen your understanding of how to use yoga so that your practice is truly healing and nurturing.

Private lessons will also help to prepare you for group classes and workshops.

Private lessons can be structured in various ways. A private lesson can be used to learn a simple, safe home practice of basic poses. If you are new to yoga, a private lesson can help prepare you for group classes. I can plan the lesson around any questions you may have.

In a private lesson, we can focus on a specific category of poses: Restorative Poses, Standing Poses, Forward Bends, Back Bends, Twists, Inverted Poses, Lying Down Poses, Hip Openers, etc.

Private lessons are highly recommended if you have back, neck, knee, shoulder, wrist, or hip problems or are recovering from surgery or injuries. Or if you are coping with health challenges such as chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, arthritis, osteoporosis, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, cancer, heart disease, high blood pressure, headaches, etc.

For women: Yoga for all the stages of life. Prenatal Yoga. Yoga for menopause and post-menopause.

I also teach yoga for scoliosis, for all ages, including children and teenagers.

Private lessons can be held at my home yoga space or your home or office. (If you are visiting Ojai, some local hotels have space suitable for yoga lessons.)

For lessons at your home or hotel, you will need a yoga mat, a long yoga strap (8 feet or longer), three or more firm yoga blankets, and a yoga block. A yoga bolster is also highly recommended. (Please let me know if you do not have props and I will bring basic props.)
